Yogurt & Orange Cake — for 12 pieces
Ingredients
- 300g (2 cups) flour
- 1 baking powder
- 200g yogurt
- 3 vanilla
- 60ml (1/4 cup) whole milk
- 160g unsalted butter melted at room temperature
- 220g powdered sugar or passed through a food processor
- 1 1/2 orange zest grated
- 4 eggs
Cream
- 60g unsalted butter
- 600g powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 orange juice
- 1/2 strained yogurt
- 1/2 cup water
Preparation
- Place small cupcake liners inside 12 deep muffin or brownie molds or grease them.
- In a large bowl, mix the butter and sugar, beat with a mixer on low setting, add the eggs.
- Mix all the ingredients listed above with a large spoon or on the mixer's low setting until they are combined.
- Spoon the mixture into the molds, filling each one 2/3 full.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 160 degrees for 35-40 minutes. To check if done, insert a fork into one.
- For the cream, place water in a deep bowl, add all the ingredients on top, and mix by beating with a mixer on low setting.
- Spread the cream onto the cakes with the help of a spatula. The spatula should be dipped in hot water each time it is used.
- For this, pudding and lemon glaze can be made. If you will use lemon glaze, the cake should be made with lemon.
- Decorate the tops of the muffins with orange zest and the sides with ribbon. Enjoy your meal...
