The sport recommended by expert doctors worldwide for heart health is rope jumping. Cardiologists do not recommend fast-paced sports due to the risk of heart enlargement; their exercise recommendation is "don't run, walk." Rope jumping, like walking, should not be done at a fast pace. Experts have observed that children with attention deficits cannot jump rope; jumping rope concentrates attention and supports intelligence development by increasing blood flow to the brain. Furthermore, jumping helps control excessive anger and excitement.
The views below are my personal experience. For many years, I have been regularly jumping rope for five minutes every day.
Choosing the right sport is important for losing weight through exercise. Especially sports done during developmental age shape the brain and body to suit the sport performed, rather than just burning fat. Basketball players have large hands, soccer players have strong legs; the brain detects the need and shapes the body accordingly. If you are overweight, you cannot jump rope, but if you keep trying, the central nervous system receives a signal that it must eliminate excess fat stores. Your balance, muscle, and bone systems also begin to develop in parallel. If you persist, you will lose excess weight in a short time without annoying diets. Muscle and bone strengthening are also gained additionally. To not disrupt this balance, it is recommended to jump rope regularly for at least 5 minutes and at most 10 minutes per day. If you are very overweight, you can even step over the rope one by one at the beginning; speed up as your body allows and continue at a pace you can sustain for a lifetime. Also, do not forget that if you take a long break, there is a risk of returning to your old state.
