In a study carried out by a group of scientists from Gaziantep University (GAZÜ), which is the first controlled research on this subject conducted on humans, blood samples were taken from 32 men who were on a Mediterranean diet for one month, and then given 100 grams of Antep pistachios along with the same diet for another month.
There is a scientific study conducted on 32 people regarding Antep pistachios. Examination of the blood samples investigated the cholesterol-lowering effect of Antep pistachios as well as their effect on vascular occlusion and antioxidant properties.
According to the research findings, it was determined that Antep pistachios have a preventive effect on vascular occlusion, and it was also revealed that this effect is greater than that of walnuts. It was also demonstrated that Antep pistachios lower LDL, known as bad cholesterol, and increase the amount of antioxidants that block toxins harmful to the human body.
