Cinnamon has been tested in improving the mental abilities of the elderly. Before the test, anxiety decreased, and an increase in courage was observed. Cinnamon was observed to be effective in lowering cholesterol by 10% to 30%. It lowered LDL but the HDL ratio remained constant.
