Pineapple Toast Ingredients (for 1 person):

  • 1 slice pineapple
  • 1 slice of thinly sliced breakfast cheese (kaşar)
  • 1 canned sour cherry

This was our weekend dormitory breakfast in Germany. There are many great and practical recipes, but I don't know the recipe for my favorite raisin bread. I love it very much, and the children also eat it with great pleasure.

It is possible to use pre-cut round slices of pineapple from a can. If you are not going to use pre-cut, it should be boiled in a small amount of water, with 1 teaspoon of sugar and half a tea glass of water added for 1 slice.

Place 1 slice of cheese and 1 sour cherry compote on the toast bread and bake in a preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes. When I don't have sour cherry compote at home or for a change, I sometimes make it with orange or strawberry jam after taking it out of the oven. Your creativity in cooking is greater than mine.

The pineapple slices should be a bit dry so they don't make the toast bread too soggy. Oven setting is 160 degrees; you adjust according to your own oven. The cheese should not melt and run too much.
