Expectant parents no longer have to wait 16-20 weeks to find out their baby's gender.

The Gender Determination Test (Intelligender Boy or Girl), which has been introduced in the USA and is also available in Turkey, is a simple urine test that can be used from the 10th week of pregnancy. The test, which has been in use since 2006, can be done at home without going to a hospital or doctor and gives results within 10 minutes. The test, available from pharmacies, is FDA-approved and gives an accurate answer approximately 80% of the time.

If the color of the mixture in the jar is olive green or cloudy green, it indicates a boy is expected; if it is a deeper yellow or orange, it indicates a girl is expected. A doctor's check-up is necessary for a definitive result; this test is only a curiosity-satisfying preliminary information tool.
